Terms of Use
Last updated: October 6, 2026
These Terms of Use apply to your use of Indoor Herb Gardening (“the site”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
What the site provides
The site publishes free guides about growing herbs indoors, for general information and personal enjoyment. We work to keep the guides clear and accurate, but we do not promise that every guide is free of errors or that you will get a particular result by following it. Plants are living things, and how one grows depends on the herb and its variety, its health, the pot, the potting mix, the light, the season and the conditions in your home. The guides describe what to check and what usually helps; they are not a diagnosis of your plant, and the ranges and time estimates in them are approximate.
General gardening information, not advice
The content on the site is general gardening information. It is not medical, nutritional or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional who can look at your situation. Herbs are discussed only as plants to grow for the kitchen, and the site makes no statements about their effect on the body. You follow the guides at your own risk, and you are responsible for deciding whether a suggestion suits your plant and your home.
Plant identification, pets and product labels
You are responsible for identifying your plants correctly. Keep the label or the seed packet with each pot, and do not use a plant in the kitchen unless you are sure what it is.
Some herbs are listed as toxic to pets. Where a guide mentions whether a plant is listed as toxic or non-toxic to pets, it names the source of that statement and links to it, and you should check that source for the exact plant you own. If a pet eats part of a plant and you are not sure it is harmless, contact a veterinarian right away.
If you use a fertilizer, a pest control product or any other product mentioned in a guide, read the product label and follow it. The label on the product you bought takes priority over anything written on this site, including whether the product may be used on plants grown for food, how long to wait before harvesting, and its directions on dilution, protective gear, ventilation, storage and keeping the product away from children and pets.
